Instagram Officially Has Video

(The Root) — Vine officially has a run for its money. Facebook announced on Thursday that users of its social photo-sharing app, Instagram, now has the capacity for video. Rumor of the announcement began swirling a couple of days ago when TechCrunch reported that Facebook would be making this announcement today, and they were right on the money.

For the most part, people on Twitter seem to be excited about the change. In fact, the hashtag #RIPVine is gaining steam as we speak, heralding the end of the Twitter video app's popularity.
