She was the scene stealer in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and a Savannah, Ga., legend. But now the world is mourning the passing of Lady Chablis. According to Savannah Now, Club One, where she was a longtime performer, posted information about Chablis' death on its Facebook page.
The Lady Chablis first made an appearance in John Berendt’s book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and of course followed up with a role in the movie. She then went on to author her own book, Hiding My Candy.
Lady Chablis is survived by her sister, Cynthia.
