The Huffington Post is reporting that rapper Ice-T is under fire for a joke he made on Twitter about the recent suicide of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstong's husband, Russell. The Armstrong's tense and fragile marriage was featured prominently on the show. Russell had recently moved out of the couple's sprawling estate amid reports that the two were divorcing. Police found Russell in his new place, hanging by an electrical cord. It was later determined that the death was a suicide.
Of course Ice-T, who is the star of his very own pathetic reality show, knowingly made a joke about the suicide on Twitter. The rapper-actor tweeted, "Bad joke … But alotta those wives would make me consider it."
Does this guy have a pulse? This is clearly a case of when Twitter goes wrong. Twitter is supposed to be used to communicate with your fans, but Ice-T and other celebrities seem to have forgotten that. Perhaps they should turn over their Twitter accounts to their publicists, because in addition to being cruel and insensitive, some like Ice-T are showing who they truly are as people, which in this case is not a good thing.
