The New York Knicks franchise is becoming a reality-TV show. The team absolutely sucks right now. They are 22-32 heading toward the All-Star break, and the 22 games they have won have been a push by sheer talent alone.
Rumors have emerged that the Knicks front office is actively looking to trade their best player, Carmelo Anthony, and then, after a critical column blasted Anthony, Phil Jackson, the president of basketball operations for the Knicks, not only agreed with the column but also tweeted that he agreed with the column!
But, but, but, but wait, it gets worse: Then, on Wednesday, Charles Oakley, the beloved Knick Charles Oakley, the man whose blood is still on the Madison Square Garden floor, was involved in a scuffle with Knicks security guards and was escorted out in handcuffs. Then the Knicks, being the tacky and petty organization they are showing themselves to be, tweeted:
Charles Oakley came to the game tonight and behaved in a highly inappropriate and completely abusive manner. He has been ejected and is currently being arrested by the New York City Police Department. He was a great Knick and we hope he gets some help soon.
***Petty tweet alert.***
Nevertheless, several past and current NBA stars took to social media to support Oakley:
Let’s hope the Knicks organization gets the help it needs.
