It’s official: Thursdays on ABC will belong to Shonda Rhimes and her new hit show, How to Get Away With Murder. For the last three weeks, the Viola Davis-led TV series has been a hit with viewers, and ABC has officially picked it up for a full season.
Davis stars as Annalise Keating, a law professor and attorney who doesn’t exactly follow the rules. Because Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal air before How to Get Away With Murder, Thursday nights have been dubbed #TGIT—Thank God It’s Thursday.
You'll also see more of Anthony Anderson and Tracy Ellis Ross because their show, Black-ish, has also been picked up for a full season. Airing Wednesday nights on ABC, Black-ish has been a ratings and social media hit. The series has been called a throwback to the days of The Cosby Show.
