Pulling up to pick up your foh-for-foh and strawberry lemonade should never result in such chaos and havoc. Yet alas, a Florida man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill an employee when he was refused a refund.
Reginald Baker was just ending the day from celebrating his 25th birthday when he pulled into the Wendy’s drive-thru in Reddick, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office wrote per an arrest affidavit. Baker told police he was just trying to get his food but the employees - for some unspecified reason - refused to give him his food. He said he knocked on the drive-thru window to get someone’s attention to demand a refund. However, according to the restaurant’s supervisor, the incident wasn’t so straightforward.
The supervisor said, per the arrest affidavit, that Baker didn’t knock but instead punched the window and threatened to kill her. The two allegedly scuffled as the employee tried to close the window and Baker tried to keep it open. Eventually, Baker is alleged to have smashed the employee’s hand in the window.
“I’ll kill you,” Baker allegedly snared at the employee.
After the employee successfully closed the window, Baker is then alleged to continue his tirade, smacking the window and spitting on it. To all of these shenanigans, Baker denied doing any of the sort. However, police say when they arrived on the scene, Baker was standing outside his car facing the drive-thru window and appeared to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.
Baker was booked into Marion County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond. He’s been charged battery and was also banned from this Wendy’s location indefinitely, per FOX 35 Orlando.
