As lawmakers voted on Wednesday to end the 16-day government shutdown, a House of Representatives stenographer approached the dais and began shouting about God and Freemasons, according to Business Insider. She was promptly removed from the floor.
"He will not be mocked," a woman shouts on the recording. "This is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been … the Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons, they go against God."
The incident occurred as members were nearly done voting on the measure to reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling. What prompted the outburst? Well, that's unclear, and details are still being sorted out.
