As I write this, YouTube is open in another window. I’m listening to Song for My Father. If it were possible to create a list of songs I’ve heard the most times, this would definitely be on it. Because of my dad, of course.

As I hear it now, my mind races back to when I was a teen, and I see my dad in the dining room, listening to this while doing a crossword puzzle and smoking a cigarette. He’s nodding his head. His headphones are on, but I can still hear the song.
