This week's episode of America’s Got Talent was a tearjerker when 14-year-old Jayna Brown of Baltimore sang Andra Day's "Rise Up."
Jayna's performance earned a standing ovation not only from the crowd but from the judges as well. Her story is definitely a touching one. Jayna shared that she and her mom are currently homeless and staying with friends and family.
"There's so much at stake here. I feel like it's an opportunity to give back to my mom," Jayna said.
One Direction star Louis Tomlinson was the one who gave her the golden buzzer and offered words of encouragement.
"It's not just one thing with you," Tomlinson said. "It's not just the voice, it's not just the performance. You have everything."
Jayna will now perform on America's Got Talent live shows, which begin on NBC next Tuesday at 8 p.m.
