As the fallout continues from Cassie’s bombshell sexual abuse lawsuit filed against Diddy—of which they both later settled in less than a day later—a former bodyguard for the Bad Boy producer is now speaking his peace.

In a since-expired post to his personal Instagram story, Roger Bonds put out a statement effectively breaking his silence on the matter all while making it clear his message shouldn’t be misconstrued as a “threat” or “snitching” against neither Cassie or Diddy. What he did make clear, however, is that whatever he saw during his tenure as Diddy’s bodyguard was enough to make him want to say something in light of recent developments—and for the wellbeing of his own children.

“This is not meant to be threats or snitching or anything like that against Cassie or Diddy or anyone else,” Bonds wrote, as captured by The Source. “This is me telling my truth as I truly remember it for 2 reasons only, 1st because I have 4 daughters so on all dudes my truth as I seen it, saw it and was involved with for yrs.”

As previously reported by The Root, both Cassie and Diddy reached a settlement in the case less than 24 hours after the “Me and You” singer filed. And while that seemed to signal the end of Diddy’s legal drama, it appeared to have actually done the opposite as days before the Thanksgiving holiday, he was hit with two more sexual assault lawsuits from a Jane Doe stemming from an alleged incident in 1990 or 1991; and from Joie Dickerson-Neal stemming from an alleged incident in 1991. Per NBC News, Diddy has denied any and all involvement for the Jane Doe allegations in a statement through his lawyers to the outlet:

“These are fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie without conscience or consequence for financial benefit. The New York Legislature surely did not intend or expect the Adult Survivors Act to be exploited by scammers. The public should be skeptical and not rush to accept these bogus allegations.”

A spokesperson for Diddy also denied their clients wrongdoing in Dickerson-Neal’s case, saying of those allegations:

“This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more.”
