As if Kendrick Lamar’s recent history-making wins at the 2025 Grammys weren’t enough to get you excited for his upcoming Super Bowl LIX halftime performance, then theorizing about which songs he’ll bring to the international stage just might do it. And lucky for you, we’ve got you covered.
As you well know by now, Lamar is the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the the popular sports event. The momentous occasion is as meaningful to the “GNX” rapper as it is for his fans, as noted by an interview he gave to Apple Music on Thursday (Feb. 6) in which he shared he never thought he’d get to a stage as big as the Super Bowl when he was first starting out in the rap world.
He also shared that “the passion I have now is the passion I had then,” which means we can truly expect a helluva performance by the time Sunday comes. But given Lamar’s catalogue — which spans across 15 years and several albums—trying to figure out what songs will make the cut for a 13-minute long set seems like a tall order.
So based off what we already know to expect and given the monumental last few years he’s had and what we know to be true about past performances—here’s our perfect Kung Fu Kenny setlist:
Kendrick Lamar’s Perfect Super Bowl LIX Halftime Setlist
1. “euphoria”
2.“hey now” featuring a special appearance by Dody6
3. “DNA”
4. “luther” featuring a special appearance by SZA since she’s confirmed to come. The official Luther Vandross X/Twitter account also teased that fans should expect something special with regards to the song earlier in the week.
5. “Backseat Freestyle”, (author’s note: this is might be a long shot, but it’s a personal favorite. If anything he might let out the beginning phrase “Martin had a dream, Kendrick have a dream.”)
6. “N95”
7. “squabble up”
8. “peekaboo” featuring a special appearance from AZ Chike
9. “30 for 30” featuring SZA again. This song is trending all over social media. We don’t see him not letting this ride.
10. “Alright”
11. “Win” featuring a special appearance by his former Black Hippy member Jay Rock
12. “tv off”
13. “Not Like Us”
BONUS: The halftime performance is a primetime for the most popular songs, so we also have a sneaking suspicion that he might throw in “All the Stars” featuring SZA—it did earn both a Grammy and an Oscar nomination after all.
