Hawaii Governor Finds Documentation of Obama's Birth

Hawaii's outspoken governor, Neil Abercrombie, knew Barack Obama's parents, lived on the island when Obama was born and has thus been very offended by the relentless "Birther movement," which hinges on the conspiracy theory that Barack Obama was not born in this country and is therefore ineligible to be president of the United States. They've been proved wrong — with Obama's Certification of Live Birth — but many insist the evidence is fake.

Last month Abercrombie vowed to find another official record of Obama's birth in the state's archives, and find it he did. On Tuesday he announced that they had found documentation that "actually exists in the archives, written down." Will this stop the Birthers? Of course not. But it was kind of Abercrombie to try.
