One thing to know about Cardi B. is if you come for her, she’ll come back with receipts! The New York City rapper didn’t take too kindly to people calling her “broke” after announcing her partnership with a popular fast fashion company. So, she did what she does best....prove the haters wrong.

It all started when Cardi took to Instagram to post a new collaboration with Shein, the popular but notorious fast fashion company. Quickly, her comments began flooding with people who say Shein is not a good look for Cardi.

“Girl you wear Hermes and Chanel not Shein,” @moonlightmaven wrote. Another Instagram user, @victoriaprada.f, commented “Shien?!?! Are you kidding me. That’s embarrassing.”

Less than 24 hours later, Cardi made her way to X Spaces to go off. “People say that I’m surviving off Shein deals and brand deals,” the rapper said on X. “I want to let y’all know I could wake up tomorrow, sign a contract, and have half of $65 million — or half of $70 million – in my bank.”

If you’ve been following Cardi over the years, you know she once was the face of other fast fashion companies like Fashion Nova. And now that she’s a Grammy Award-winning artist, you can imagine just how much her bag has grown.

Even if you can’t imagine Cardi’s wealth, the rapper lined it all out on X sharing she spends about $3 million a month. Not only that, but Cardi went as far as to show a screenshot of her turning down millions of dollars in a potential tour deal.

The deal allegedly detailed that Cardi would be paid $1 million per show for a “total” of $65 million. On top of that, Cardi would receive “half the money upfront upon signing the contract.”

“That was on September of this year, not old s***,” Cardi said. “And mind you, this my off-year, by the way.” Although the rapper has dropped hits like “Enough (Miami)” and “Bongos” recently, she’s been teasing her sophomore album for years. It is expected to drop sometime in 2025, and because of this, Cardi said she’s being strategic about which contracts she signs.

“I don’t want to take tour deals until I announce my album because when I announce my album I know they’re going to up it,” she said. “You have to move smart. You can’t act hungry when you’re not.”

Cardi also took the time to brag about some of her most expensive purchases, including dropping $200,000 on jewelry from celebrity jeweler Eliantte & Co. Additionally, Cardi spent $120,000 with Benny the Jeweler and $65,000 on the luxury resale website Adore the Couture.

The mother of three has brand deals with McDonald’s, Reebok, Marc Jacobs, Nyx Cosmetics, and more. But enough of the brand deals, Cardi. We’re ready for new music!
