Phaedra Parks is by far one of my favorite “housewives” of the entire franchise. Her subtle shade, faux Christianity, expert clapbacks and the gift of the phrase “Fix it, Jesus” have made her one of few things that make me tune in to the show again and again.
Unfortunately, if current reports are to be believed, Phaedra may not be back next season. Sources have exclusively told B. Scott that Phaedra was not given her renewal papers for season 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
From B. Scott:
Everyone was given their renewal papers last week and Phaedra didn’t get hers. She got caught in so many treacherous lies this season that even the producers (including Andy Cohen) have had enough. She even brought “fake divorce papers” to the reunion to prove a point. No one knows whether she’s telling the truth about anything anymore.
Producer Carlos King will not be returning to the show, either, and according to B. Scott, it may have something to do with the fact that Phaedra tried to blame the lesbian lie she fed Porsha Williams on him.
Cynthia Bailey, Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak are all confirmed to be returning next season, but Kim and Nene will not be full-time cast members.
According to B. Scott, all housewives are notified of their status two weeks after the taping of the reunion shows concludes. Each housewife has a contract that specifies how many additional seasons their contract option is for and any respective salary increases. Further, new contract negotiations do not occur each year.
The four-episode reunion for season 9 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will begin Sunday, April 16, at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
