(The Root) — If you thought Feb. 14 was all about love, you thought wrong. At least when it comes to the marriage of politics, race, class and social networking, that is. Today the #LiberalCandyHearts hashtag has brought out some of the right's worst and most familiar vitriol — from calling the president a "fascist black Muslim" to digging up old tropes about food stamps, welfare and reverse racism. Quite clearly, when it comes to hate, not even this holiday is safe. Can't say we're surprised.
