Congratulations to members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. for reaching their centennial year. Twitter is abuzz with congratulations and "happy Founders Day" tweets. The fraternity is currently trending; however, in some cities, like Atlanta, Houston and Philadelphia, the "Kappa" didn't make it. So Alpha Psi or Alpha Psi Fraternity is trending there.
Kappa Alpha Psi was founded on Jan. 5, 1911, at Indiana University. It is the only Divine Nine fraternity, apart from Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc., that was not founded at an HBCU. Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha celebrated their centennials in 2006 and 2008, respectively. Omega Psi Phi will celebrate 100 years in November.
So, happy Founders Day to all members of Kappa Alpha Psi!
