Halle Berry is still clapping back at “Catwoman” haters all these years later. The Academy Award-winning actress stopped by “The Tonight Show” this week, reminiscing on her critically and commercially panned 2004 flick with host Jimmy Fallon amid its 20th anniversary, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“Catwoman” received poor reviews upon release and is often referred to as one of the lesser films in the superhero genre. Still, Berry is proud of the film despite its chilly reception.

“I loved it,” she told Fallon on the show. “It got panned. The critics said it sucked balls. And balls aren’t that bad.” She continued to say that she’s loved the new life the film has found since, “children have found it now on the internet, and they love it.”

“So, it’s so vindicating,” she explained. “Because now they’re saying it’s cool and what the heck was everybody’s problem with it.”

Of course, Berry’s mark on the superhero film genre goes well beyond just starring in Catwoman. She originated the role of Ororo Munroe/Storm in the X-Men franchise, appearing as the beloved Marvel Comics character in four films including “X-Men,” “X2,” “X-Men: The Last Stand” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

While promoting her latest film “The Union,” Berry opened up about her various injuries and skills she picked up over the years as an action star, as The Root previously reported. She shared in an interview, “I’ve learned jiu-jitsu, some Muay Thai, kickboxing, taekwondo, and I learned how to shoot. I learned capoeira for ‘Catwoman.’”
