Halle Berry was dealt a lesson in child support after a Los Angeles court ordered the actress to pay $16,000 per month to her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, father of their daughter Nahla, who’s 6. The payments will be made until Nahla turns 19 or graduates from high school.
According to an Associated Press report, in addition to the child support payments, Berry is also responsible for a retroactive payment of $115,000, as well as paying for Aubry’s $300,000 in legal fees. The court’s decision comes after an arduous legal battle, including Aubry being involved in a physical altercation with Berry’s current husband, Olivier Martinez.
Although Berry and Aubry share split custody of their daughter, it’s obvious who the breadwinner is between the two.
Berry, 47, gave birth to Nahla in 2008 after dating Aubry for two years. The couple split in April 2010.
