Hosted by LL Cool J and featuring performances by Lady Gaga, Usher, Ludacris, Rihanna and Sugarland, the fourth edition of Grammy Nominations Concert Live: Countdown to Music's Biggest Night will offer everything you'd expect from an awards show … except, of course, the actual awards.
The production surrounding the announcement of nominees will air tonight on CBS, well before the actual awards are handed out on Feb. 12 of next year.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the broadcast will feature a tribute to songwriters who passed away this year. Usher is slated to perform with Valerie Simpson, of Ashford and Simpson, and Mike Stoller, of the songwriting team Leiber and Stoller, in a tribute to their recently lost partners. The number will feature "You're All I Need to Get By" and "Stand by Me."
In another musical nod to the past, LL Cool J, Common, Lupe Fiasco and Rick Ross will perform "The Message" with Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel and Scorpio.
As far as the actual nominations go, we're expecting to hear Adele's name quite a bit. What are your predictions?
