New York naturalistas, where you at? If you’re a devoted member of #TeamNatural, you’re hopefully already familiar with the experiential marketing group known as the Curly Girl Collective, and if you live in the New York City tri-state area, this is the weekend to take part in the largest celebration of natural hair in the world, as CurlFest 2018 once again takes over Prospect Park in Brooklyn, N.Y., for its one-day multicultural celebration of natural hair in all its glory!
Now in its fifth year—with over 43,000 fans and followers and rising—CurlFest is the brainchild of five dynamic and multitalented naturalistas with 52 combined years’ experience in media, marketing, project management, art direction and event production. According to the Curly Girl Collective website, they began the event with the intent of creating “innovative experiences that harness the energy of the natural hair movement and showcas[ing] the best brands for modern women of color.”
And attendees of CurlFest know they’ve done just that. From 12-7 p.m. EST on Saturday, join fellow naturalistas, multicultural beauty brands, celebrities and all the homegirls your heart can stand in Prospect Park to celebrate the natural beauty of your curls, coils, locs, waves and more!
The Glow Up tip: It’s not too late to grab tickets for CurlFest 2018, and general admission is free! But you can’t get in without them, so cop yours here!
