Tye Tribbett, a Stellar Award winner, is candidly discussing the details of a high-profile affair in the gospel community. Tribbett had an affair with a woman from his choir, Greater Anointing (G.A.). It was with a woman he and his wife had counseled, with whom Tribbett eventually had an affair. After Tribbett's wife found out about the affair, she sought revenge by cheating on him with another man. Both of their infidelities almost ended the couple's marriage of 13 years, but the two found a way to work it out after Tribbett took a "sabbatical." It takes chutzpah to discuss the tawdry details of your marriage in public. We won't mention the timing, since Tribbett has an album coming out, but will say that it is refreshing to see those in the gospel community actually admit misdeeds instead of pretending that they are so far above the rest of us morally.
