Good morning, Sunshine! Leave it to the great and powerful Oprah to give us the Monday motivation we are so desperately needing with a “future’s so bright [she’s] gotta wear shades” magazine cover to swing us into September.
Reminding us that the color yellow was clearly invented for brown-skinned women, O gives us retro vibes on the September cover of O Magazine, shot by famed photographer Ruven Afanador. Wearing a gold fedora and tunic from The Salting paired with white trousers, jewelry from Sidney Garber, Ilias Lalaounis and Maja DaBrul and amber-lensed statement shades from Linda Farrow, the “queen of all media” is transformed into the queen of autumnal cool.
And just to show us that she was feeling this look as much as we are, O. delightfully danced her way through her shoot at Donna Karan’s Urban Zen in New York City, two-stepping to Camila Cabello’s “Havana.”
These may be the dog days of summer, but Oprah’s making autumn look quite appealing ... and maybe the secret is just daring to go for the gold!
