It might be time to hop on the phone with your Ugandan relatives to find out what in the holy hell is wrong with the president of Uganda. President Yoweri Museveni must believe that African countries are, in fact, “shitholes” because he seems to agree with America’s national embarrassment, President Donald Trump.
Museveni is out here praising Trump for his frankness.
“America has got one of the best presidents ever,” Museveni said to rousing laughter during the opening of the East African Legislative Assembly in the Ugandan capital of Kampala, the BBC reports. “I love Trump because he tells Africans frankly. The Africans need to solve their problems; the Africans are weak.”
Umm ... clearly someone has been slowly stirring a spoon in a teacup around Museveni.
The Hill notes that Trump has denied calling African and Latin countries “shitholes” during an immigration debate, but our readers know better. Most world leaders condemned the remarks, but it sounds as if Museveni has fallen into the sunken place.
