Peele’s masterpiece was originally released in theaters on Feb. 24, 2017. The film has been nominated for four Academy Awards: best picture, best director, best original screenplay and best actor.

Peele used the horror film genre to explore issues of race. The movie gained critical acclaim and was his directorial debut. This free bonus showing of the movie means that black people have two reasons to be in theaters over this holiday weekend.
