Gay dads Kordale Lewis and Kaleb Anthony, along with their adorable kids, are now the face of a major fashion campaign.
The family of six became the models for Acne Studios’ Fall/Winter 2017 campaign after the company tapped the entire family for a photoshoot—officially making the Lewis-Anthony family the first black LGBT family to represent a fashion campaign, according to Mic.
Lewis and Anthony are perhaps easily recognizable. The dads went viral back in 2014 when they posted a picture of themselves grooming their daughters’ hair on their now popular Instagram account @kordalenkaleb. They have maintained their social media presence by sharing cute snaps of their kids: Desmiray, Maliyah, Kordale Jr. and the newest addition, Kaleb Jr.
The couple have been through their ups and downs, including a brief breakup in 2015, and are now back stronger than ever.
In the gorgeous Acne spread, the family is seen striking fierce poses in a New York City hotel room, wearing coordinated rugby shirts and hats. Each of the couple’s four kids also got a glamour shot
“The Acne campaign came about in simple divine intervention,” Lewis and Anthony told Mic in an email. “Acne hired a scout who reached out to us once the creative director showed interest and his thought of what a modern family is today. When she reached out, we quickly obliged and history was made.”
“When we first saw the pictures, we were amazed. We actually saw the reel at the shooting and the kids loved them, especially the girls,” the fathers added. “The girls want to be in front the camera, they would love to model and we’re trying to get them into it. Overall, all of the pictures simply amazed us at how [the photographers] Inez and Vindooh were able to capture such real candid moments; they are hands down the BEST at what they do.”
