We're going to go ahead and add "television personality," or maybe "Hollywood A-lister," to Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas' title from this point on.

The gymnast, who's appeared on Big Brother, been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and co-hosted America's Got Talent, is now slated to make a guest appearance on the seventh episode of the fourth season of CW's The Vampire Diaries. From the Hollywood Reporter:

Nina Dobrev hinted at Douglas' Atlanta visit on Tuesday evening, when she tweeted: "@gabrielledoug is coming to The Vampire Diaries set tomorrow! Cant wait to meet and work with you girl! Dont forget to bring your bling! :P." She followed it up Wednesday morning by writing to her 2.75 million followers: "First thought at 530am when I woke up this morning : "What to wear when meeting an Olympian Gold Medallist [sic]?"

In August, the cast of The Vampire Diaries made a congratulatory video following Douglas' gold medal performance in the Olympic all-around gymnastics finals. Douglas and executive producer Julie Plec also communicated via Twitter about a possible cameo in the new season.

It's great to see that the 16-year-old, who made enormous sacrifices to reach the pinnacle of her sport – from moving away from home, to enduring what she said was hostile treatment by former teammates — taking the time to have fun and take advantage of all the opportunities her success brought with it.

The Vampire Diaries returns Oct. 11 on the CW.
