Gabby Douglas and her family will have their lives on display this May when their new Oxygen docuseries, Douglas Family Gold, premieres.
“This time, as Gabby trains tirelessly in Ohio with her grandmother by her side, the rest of the family keeps busy juggling Gabby’s business and their own lives back in California,” an Oxygen press release reads.
The series will focus on Douglas’ road to the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, as well as how her family helps to manage her busy life. The show includes Douglas’ mother, Natalie Hawkins, sisters Arielle “Arie” Hawkins and Joyelle “Joy” Douglas, brother Johnathan Douglas and grandmother Carolyn Ford.
“The series provides an inside look at an inspirational family who doesn’t let any obstacles stand in their way, and when dreams are on the line, ‘Team Douglas’ comes together and outshines the competition,” said Rod Aissa, executive vice president of original programming and development at Oxygen Media.
Douglas Family Gold will premiere Wednesday, May 25, on Oxygen at 10 p.m.
