In yet another tragic mass shooting, a 50-year-old Georgia man took the lives of five people before turning the gun on himself Friday.

Local station WRDW reports that Wayne Anthony Hawes was discovered dead at his home in Appling, Ga, a town that is part of the Augusta, Ga., metropolitan area.

Police say that Hawes may have become unhinged after learning of his wife’s plans of divorce. The Augusta Chronicle reports that Hawes’ wife was not among his victims but some of her family members were.
