Earlier this year, ProPublica reported how Texas real estate billionaire gifted Clarence Thomas luxurious items like vacations, flights on private jets and tuition payments. Many consider this unethical behavior, as Crow possibly influenced Thomas’s legal decisions and rulings. Thomas insisted that the Crows “are among our dearest friends.” He continued: “As friends do, we have joined them on a number of family trips.”

Despite having a history of sending racist and hateful texts about Black people, Turning Point USA organizer and conservative personality Crystal Clanton pursued a legal career with Thomas’s help. She even lived with Thomas and his wife Ginni for a short time. “I know Crystal Clanton and I know bigotry,” he said. “Bigotry is antithetical to her nature.”

Leonard Leo, the Federalist Society leader, used his influence to encourage nonprofits to spend $1.8 million for public relations attempts to humanize and celebrate Clarence Thomas. This includes a flattering movie about his life. Leo has also given money to Ginni Thomas’s for-profit firm, Liberty Consulting.

Anthony Welters is a rich health-care entrepreneur who loaned Thomas money to buy a luxury RV valued at almost $270k in 1999. Thomas made some interest payments—not all—but Welters said it was settled in 2008. A lawyer for Thomas said that the loan’s terms “were satisfied in full” but never specified what they were.

Huizenga, who passed away in 2018, was a billionaire who founded numerous businesses and owned professional sports teams like the Florida Panthers and Miami Dolphins. He flew Thomas on his private jets and helicopters, took him to see his sports teams play and hosted him at his private, members-only golf club in Florida.

David Sokol, a former executive at Berkshire Hathaway, has funded vacations and trips for Clarence and his wife Ginni. Sokol has said that he had known the couple for 21 years and that Thomas is ethical. “We have never once discussed any pending court matter,” Sokol has said. “Our conversations have always revolved around helping young people, sports, and family matters.”

There have been numerous records that show that oil baron Paul “Tony” Novelly was a benefactor to Thomas, though his gifts weren’t previously reported. Novelly supposedly paid for pricey vacations for the Supreme Court justice.

Tucker Carlson’s co-founded the conservative website, The Daily Caller, shortly before becoming a Fox News personality. The Daily Caller paid Ginni Thomas an undisclosed salary from 2011 to 2017 to interview conservative leaders on camera.

The founder of the Center for Security Policy, Frank Gaffney Jr., has used everything in his power to spread Islamophobia. In 2017 and 2018, the nonprofit paid Ginni Thomas’s firm Liberty Consulting $236,000 according to tax records. In 2018, the Center for Security Policy supported Trump’s Muslim travel ban in a Supreme Court amicus brief.
