When Vice President Kamala Harris entered the 2024 presidential election, we knew it wouldn’t take long for the racism and misogyny to come calling. One Fox Business guest couldn’t wait to get his gross take out there.

According to TMZ, over 4th of July weekend, author Alec Lace appeared on the network to discuss the presidential election and used his moment to make offensive remarks about Harris, calling her “the original Hawk Tuah girl,” then adding, “that’s the way she got where she is.” Obviously, there’s no truth to these unconfirmed insults, but that’s not stopping him or Fox Business from putting it out there for their viewers to believe.

For the unfamiliar, this is a reference to Hailey Welch, a woman who went viral for describing how she performs oral sex on men. She’s had the usual 15 minutes of fame, even finding representation.

Welch, nor any other woman, should be judged for how they choose to enjoy their sexuality. It is not Lace’s business what these grown ass women do with their bodies.

As for his disgusting comments, I understand these conservative pundits don’t know how to handle a confident Black woman who doesn’t need or want their approval, but she’s still the Vice President of the United States of America and should be treated with the respect that her office affords her.

The really crazy thing about all this is he got away with it. It happened on Fox Business over a holiday weekend, so no one noticed. When President Joe Biden announced he was exiting the presidential race, Lace retweeted his comments and even pinned them because he’s proud of them. He wanted to make sure everyone saw him slut shaming the vice president.

In case you’re wondering if the hosts in the segment did or said anything critical of his disrespectful comments, the most we got was one of them saying his remarks were “harsh” and “tough.” Lace has not appeared on the network since the incident.

If Lace is really worried about the sexual history of presidential candidates, he should probably look into the one who was heard on tape saying that he grabs women’s vaginas and who was found liable of sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll.
