Ex-FEMA director Michael Brown finally acknowledged what we knew all along: Hurricane Katrina was much worse than the government let on to the American public. In an appearance on the Today show, Brown stated that the government initially downplayed how devastating Hurricane Katrina was to the region in order to protect the country. When the press discovered how bad conditions actually were in the region, it made all levels of government look inept, including government agencies like FEMA. Uh-huh. Is that Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams singing in the background? This information is too much, too little and way too late to matter.
