Maybe you’re not a fan of the NBA Finals or don’t care about whether LeBron James wins or loses this evening. But if you’re a fan of all things Marvel and its upcoming Black Panther film, you may want to tune in Friday night to catch its first teaser trailer.
Sometime during Friday night’s Game 4 of the NBA Finals, you’ll be able to catch the exclusive world premiere of the brand-new teaser trailer. Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright and Winston Duke, along with Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis. Basically, every black person you’d ever want to see in one movie.
Black Panther tells the story of T’Challa (Boseman), who, after the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. With the fate of Wakanda on his hands, T’Challa releases the power of Black Panther to save his nation.
The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.
Black Panther hits U.S. theaters on Feb. 16, 2018.
