D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty ended his re-election campaign with go-go music. The mayor has been reaching out to the go-go community to generate votes in an effort to keep poll margins in check. It seems to be working, since he has earned the endorsements of Chi Ali of Shuttle Thoughts, Buggs and The Junkyard Band, and Bo and Sweets from TCB. Critics say it smacks of being disingenuous. We say you can't live in D.C. and not get caught up in go-go music. Whatever the case, when you're trailing in the polls, you might try something different. Whether or not it works is a different question.
