The Daily Mail reports that Fantasia Barrino announced at a charity event at the opening of a Jacksonville, Fla., apartment complex this weekend that she's pregnant with her second child.
The 27-year-old singer, who already has a nine-year-old daughter Zion from a previous relationship, told fans her happy news at a charity event at the opening of the Riverview Apartments in Jacksonville, Florida over the weekend.
She said: 'You are the first persons that I share this news with. And I share this with you because I can relate to you.
'And for a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you I don’t live my life for folk.
'This child that I’m carrying, God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of y'all.'
Barrino has been romantically linked to Antwuan Cook, who's still married to but estranged from his wife, Paula. But far be it from us to assume he's the father of her child. As Madamenoir points out today, we all saw where that got us with Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley's recent noncontroversy. But since the American Idol winner is on the "nothing to hide" plan, we'll be expecting more details soon.
