Three weeks ago, 10-year-old Ashawnty Davis of Colorado killed herself after being a victim of bullying. And now the family is asking for the public’s help to raise money for her burial expenses.

Ashawnty, a fifth-grader at Sunrise Elementary School in Aurora, Colo., got into a fight away from school grounds, and it was uploaded to the app Music.ly. Ashawnty’s mother, Latoshia Harris, said that her daughter was confronting the bully when the fight occurred, and it became fodder on the app.

“My daughter came home two weeks later and hanged herself in the closet,” Harris said.
