Today, thousands of protestors have flooded Tehran’s Freedom Square voicing their displeasure at last week’s election results and demanding an investigation take place. Mir Hossein Mousavi, the candidate who ran against the incumbent, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said today that he would run again in the event of another election.
Al Jazeera reports that the international community has criticized this election process, some nations going so far as to demand Iranian ambassadors explain what took place. Domestically, even the Ayatollah thinks this election’s results need another look-see.
For its part, the United States has said little, though it has been alleged that Karl Rove has been watching this election process closely and muttering “amateur hour” in between chuckles.
