Emmy Award-winning CBS News correspondent Harold Dow has passed away. Dow helped shape the documentary-news genre through his work on the CBS news program 48 Hours. A career journalist, Dow covered the Patty Hearst kidnapping and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and was the first person to interview O.J. Simpson after the 1994 murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman. His nearly 40 years with the network also included reporting for CBS Evening News With Dan Rather and CBS News Sunday Morning. Dow had served as a correspondent for 48 Hours since 1990. He died suddenly on Saturday from asthma. He was 62.
