Straight Outta Compton was a box-office hit over the weekend, but there may be a few gems involving Eazy-E about which many people may not be familiar.
Eazy-E—the mastermind behind N.W.A—was instrumental in putting together the rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
Here's another gem: The financial deal Eazy-E orchestrated that pissed off his N.W.A group members is apparently similar to a deal Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine are involved in today.
"What my dad and Jerry did was equivalent to what Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine did today. So I think with them being older now, they get it," Eazy-E.'s daughter, Erin Bria "E.B." Wright, told Rolling Out.
It arguably shows that Eazy-E was ahead of his time with regards to figuring out how to benefit financially in the entertainment industry.
A lot of this information was revealed in a series of tweets posted by E.B. Saturday. She described how much she loved the Straight Outta Compton film, and she encouraged everyone to see it. However, she said that there were several aspects about her father's life, his time with N.W.A and his contributions to music that weren't included in the movie.

But no worries, she said, she's co-producing a documentary about her father's life that will paint a fuller picture of Eazy-E.'s life and career.

It should be a revealing documentary.
