Duh!
Or should we say Play-Doh!?
Republican candidate Donald Trump may be making just that sound as he receives yet more criticism for his actions, even after shaking up his team of advisers.
On Friday morning, the GOP presidential hopeful told ABC News that he and running mate Mike Pence would be hitting the road to Baton Rouge, La., to help those devastated by the floods there.
Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, currently responding to some of the worst floods in his state since Hurricane Katrina, had previously said of Trump in a statement: “We welcome him to Louisiana but not for a photo op. Instead we hope he’ll consider volunteering or making a sizable donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund to help the victims of the storm.”
And yet, off he went, criticizing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama for not being there.
Mediaite reports that Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, said that he and Pence were there to “help out” and that there was “no press allowed.”
But what is Donald Trump without the press? Of course there was a gaggle of reporters, and those journalists caught the entire scope of the visit. Which was 49 seconds.
Trump handed about a dozen boxes of Play-Doh and some toys, and then it was back to the Trump plane.
As for giving those who lost everything Play-Doh (and not food), we suppose it was for the kids so that it would occupy their time.
Wonder if any of them started to make another Trump statue with it?
