Adding on to the long list of names former President Donald Trump has called Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump is back stirring up trouble yet again. This time, his private conversations are to blame.
The New York Times reported two people close to Trump heard him allegedly call Harris a “bitch.” According to Politico, the accusers have been granted anonymity, but they say Trump called Harris the “slur” during at least two separate meetings.
Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesperson, responded to the claims. “That is not language President Trump has used to describe Kamala and it’s not how the campaign would characterize her,” he said, according to ABC News.
To refresh everyone’s memory, the former president has a well-documented history of describing the Democratic nominee as “incompetent,” “lying,” and having a “low IQ” in public. These latest allegations against Trump take things to a lower level with just over 80 days left until the presidential election.
For those familiar with Trump’s past remarks, these allegations come as no surprise. On his favorite social media platform, Truth Social, Trump is known to speak his mind. Most recently, Trump posted calling Harris everything from “crazy” to “fake.”
Outside of attacking Harris, the former president has found himself in muddy waters over his usage of inappropriate language against opponents, those who disagree with him, and other races, ethic groups, and nationalities.
We’re sure everyone remembers when Trump referred to Haiti and African nations as “shithole countries.” How about him calling E. Jean Carroll, the writer who accused Trump of rape, a “nut job” who invented “a fraudulent and false story” to sell her memoir? The Root also reported about the GOP nominee’s nephew exposing him for allegedly saying the n-word before he took office.
The list goes on and on, and Trump’s outstanding history of incendiary comments paired with his running mate, JD Vance’s, resurfaced “childless cat lady” remarks could make it that much harder to secure women voters by November.
Polls already put Harris ahead of Trump with women, and these new allegations against the former president might introduce another roadblock that the Trump campaign can’t move around.
