Love is in formation. Can you feel it? Can you feel it? CAN YOU FEEL IT? Tonight, that is.
As you may or may not know, different parts of the world have advertisements for films that are pretty dissimilar to the ones you see in the U.S. There are various factors to consider, like cultural distinctions, for example. But, thanks to the advent of the internet, folks are able to get a quick peek into every bit of digestible content surrounding their favorite film.
Such is the case with The Lion King, which has a new international TV spot featuring a major moment: The epic duet by Simba (Donald Glover) and Nala (Beyoncé Knowles-Carter), “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.” And yes, the BeyHive copped it right on time.
Hmm. OK. Something is a bit off. Perhaps the pair doesn’t synchronize the way I’d like a duet to sound. I don’t quite feel the love right now in this short clip, so will I feel it tonight? I guess time (and context, with the film) will tell.
Alas.
The Lion King is near, y’all! Less than a month away! This calls for a Blue Ivy dance break!
Update: 06/23/2019, 3:20 p.m. ET:
Walt Disney Studios has informed us that the aforementioned clip previously posted on Twitter was unauthorized. Disney officially released the extended spot on June 23. The Lion King roars into theaters on July 19.
