At her Black Snob blog, Danielle Belton evaluates GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich's claim that his weaknesses, such as marital infidelities, make him look stronger than perhaps someone like opponent Mitt Romney, who comes across as seemingly perfect.

Can you see past a weakness so hard that it turns into a strength? Presidential wannabe Newt Gingrich tried to pull that off in an interview with CBN's David Brody where Gingrich tried to spin his "past weaknesses" as making him more "human" than everyone's favorite Republican Robot, Mitt Romney.

From Brody's blog:

"In a one-on-one interview with The Brody File, Newt Gingrich says that he has 'not hidden from the facts of my life, that I have confessed my weaknesses' and he believes that, in part, is a reason why evangelicals are able to get behind his candidacy.

"He goes on to say that, 'it may make me more normal than somebody who wanders around seeming perfect and maybe not understanding the human condition, and the challenges of life for normal people.' "

Yeah! Don't we all repeatedly marry and divorce women, get busted for ethics violations, fined $300,000 for those violations, get forced out of office by our own people, lobby under the table, lie about it, race bait for votes and act like we were the first person in history to ever take a successful dump then insist that this dump be framed and preserved for future generations to see?
