Although their father is sitting in a Brooklyn jail and is waiting to stand trial in May 2025, all of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children are standing behind him and are putting in a tremendous amount of effort to repair their father’s broken image.
While it may seem useless since his reputation is already destroyed in the eyes of many, his children soldier on.
This week, Diddy’s children took another step to help improve their father’s image. His son, Christian Combs, posted a video on his father’s Instagram account, announcing that he would be taking over the account.
This isn’t surprising, since Christian is the one son that not only resembles his dad most physically, but also his lifestyle. He has taken on the challenge of trying to carry on his father’s legacy as a best-selling artist, and it’s clear that he’s trying to hold on to the best parts of his father. In some ways, it’s just pointless.
In September, his children were seen walking out of a courtroom after their father’s bail hearing. The judge judge denied his appeal and said he would have to stay imprisoned until he goes to trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
During that same month, following the release of the controversial book, “Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side…,” the children Diddy had with Kim Porter (Quincy Brown, Christian Jessie, and D’Lila Combs), released a statement about the insane allegations that were made in the memoir about their parents.
The statement read, “We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out.”
A month later, in October, many of them were seen together again, hand-in-hand with Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, as they exited a New York Federal court for the hip-hop mogul’s pre-trial hearing. This is when a judge determined that Puff’s trial on sex trafficking charges would start on May 5, 2025.
In the video posted on Wednesday, Christian shared, “We gonna be posting videos, spreading good energy, and taking y’all down memory lane of all the positive things he did.”
Since the video, Christian has posted some of his father’s most popular music videos, including the video for the 1997 hit, “It’s All About the Benjamins.”
This isn’t the first time Christian has taken the responsibility to protect his father.
In May, he released a diss track titled, “Pick A Side,” where he takes shots at all of his father’s haters — mainly Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who has been trolling the Bad Boy Records founder for years.
It’ll be interesting or sad to see what else the children of the Bad Boy Records founder will do to try to safe their father’s ruined reputation.
