(The Root) — Keith Clinkscales, a former ESPN executive, has been tapped to lead Revolt TV.
Sean "Diddy" Combs named Clinkscales chief executive officer of his music-oriented channel, Revolt TV, according to a news release. Combs also announced that industry veteran Andy Schuon will serve as president, and Val Boreland as executive vice president of programming and strategy.
"Keith, Andy and Val are the perfect combination to run Revolt — they are my executive dream team," Combs, founder and chairman of the channel, said in a news release. "This launch could not be done without their talents, experience and drive to create the best new network the industry will have seen in a long time.”
Most recently Clinkscales founded the Shadow League, a digital-sports platform, in partnership with ESPN. He previously spent seven years as senior vice president at ESPN.
As a co-founder of Revolt, Schuon will lead the development and rollout of the network, from its brand image to its programming slate. As executive vice president of programming and strategy, Boreland will draw upon two decades of hands-on experience in cable television.
Revolt TV, a multimedia channel that will target a new generation of artists and innovators, is set to launch in the fall.
