The arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and conspiracy has cast a new light on some of the shocking details of his life. It turns out he has a surprising connection to Michael Jackson, as the rapper/producer employed the King of Pop’s chief of security, Faheem Muhammad, following his 2009 death.

According to Daily Mail, the information comes from music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ sexual assault lawsuit against the Bad Boy founder. As previously reported by The Root, in February, Jones filed a lawsuit alleging Combs “participated in sex and drug trafficking.” The lawsuit also reveals details about Muhammad’s role as Diddy’s head of security.

“Mr. Combs made it clear that his head of security, Faheem Muhammad had the power to make people and problems disappear,” Jones said in court documents.

Jones elaborated on Muhammad’s alleged close relationship with law enforcement, stating, “Mr. Combs instructs his staff to always contact Mr. Muhammad if they are ever pulled over by the police in Miami or California.”

For Jackson, the security chief was tasked with keeping he and his three children safe. He described his job during the manslaughter trial against Jackson’s former doctor, Conrad Murray.

“I was the chief of his security, so my responsibilities ranged from making sure his house was protected, his children was protected, and making sure his day-to-day activities were safe and planned and mapped out,” he said.

Muhammad revealed that he was one of the first people on the scene when the superstar died. In his testimony he described the devastation of Prince and Paris Jackson, as well as Murray “nervously’ attempting to revive the singer.

Considering how closely involved Muhammad is in his clients’ lives, he may have some difficult questions to answer about Diddy’s alleged activities.

Combs was arrested Sept. 16 after a federal investigation that included raids of his homes in Miami and Beverly Hills. Deapite multiple appeals, the music mogul has been denied bail and remains in jail.
