Azealia Banks, “the poster child for self-destruction,” continues to sow her seeds of dissension by calling out yet another black woman in entertainment for some politically impossible standard of blackness that she herself cannot live up to.

This time, that woman is Cardi B, who, after clapping back at Banks on Friday, deleted her entire Instagram account rather than deal with entertainment’s most pervasive troll.

Banks visited Charlamagne Tha God’s The Breakfast Club radio show Friday and came for the pregnant “Bodak Yellow” rapper by calling her an “illiterate, untalented rat” and a “caricature of a black woman.”

“Two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women’s culture was really reaching an all-time high,” Banks told the radio show’s hosts, referencing Beyoncé’s 2016 album, Lemonade. Who remembers when Banks dissed Beyoncé? Now she’s caping for her? “There was just this really, really, really intelligent conversation going on nationally, and then everything just kind of changed, and then it was like Cardi B.”

Banks continued: “I’m just talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with. Like, if my spelling and grammar was that bad, I’d be canceled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, we would be ragging on her all day.”

Cardi clapped back on IG on Friday and read Banks ALL HER NEWS.

Then she deleted her account like Ta-Nehisi Coates did after Cornel West started doing the academic equivalent of the same.

I just have to note, Cardi B is a black woman. Period, full stop.
