Devin Nunes Is Trash, the Memo Is Garbage and the Entire Trump Administration Is Basura, Explained

“Memo-gate” might be one of dumbest scandals coming out of this administration, which, let’s face it, has never read on grade level. To my understanding, because I’ve refused to follow this closely, Republican House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, who has been trash since the investigation into Donald Trump and Russia began (more on that later), wrote a memo that supposedly alleges improper surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser with reported ties to Russia before the 2016 election.

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, is now alleging that the memo, which Trump and other GOP members want released, was altered by Nunes because he is trash.

“This is deeply troubling because it means the committee majority transmitted to the White House an altered version of its classified document that is materially different than the version on which the committee voted,” Schiff’s statement read.

Democrats and the Justice Department don’t want the memo released, saying that it would not only severely jeopardize the ongoing investigation into Trump’s Russia connection but also seriously undermine special counsel Robert Mueller’s authority to properly investigate Trump’s obvious Russian ties. Not to mention this little caveat: Both the Dems and the FBI believe the memo is bullshit, and that’s because Devin Nunes is trash.

The California politician is a lapdog for Trump. He’s not only Trump’s favorite barnacle, but he would literally give Trump a kidney even if Trump didn’t need one, just to show his loyalty to Trump.

Nunes was not only part of Trump’s transition team after he won the election but even tried to defend Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who was so deep in Russia sauce, his Netflix password was “Russia4Lyfe.”

While Nunes was the head of the committee investigating Trump’s ties to Russia (see what a joke this all is?), Nunes disappeared in March, only to reappear at the White House. Let that sink in: Nunes is chairing the committee that is looking into the president, and then he shoots over to the White House in the middle of the night.

Here’s how HuffPost explains it:

Nunes caused a stir when, with no prior notice to his fellow committee members, he announced that he’d received information showing that Trump transition officials had been caught inadvertently in surveillance operations targeting suspected foreign spies, and that their names appeared in internal intelligence reports. No one seemed to know where Nunes had gotten this information, and the congressman, who went to the White House to brief the president on his findings, would only say that he had an anonymous source. He has refused to name his source even to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the intelligence committee.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Nunes ditched his own staff the night before making his announcement. On Monday, the news broke that he had gone to the White House grounds to use a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility―basically, a room or area that meets certain rigorous security standards―to get the information that formed the basis of his accusations.

So yeah, Nunes has been trash, and the calls for “Release the memo” that are only coming from Trump loyalists on the right are also trash. While no one knows exactly what the memo alleges, I can assure you of one thing: If Devin Nunes wrote it, it’s trash.

And Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer agrees with me.

“It’s clear that Chairman Nunes will seemingly stop at nothing to undermine the rule of law and interfere with the Russia probe,” Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a statement, Business Insider reports.

“He’s been willing to carry the White House’s water, attack our law enforcement and intelligence officials, and now to mislead his House colleagues,” Schumer said.

This memo written by Trump Nunes (trash) will be released because it reportedly vindicates Trump in some capacity and, more important, undermines the work of the Justice Department and Mueller’s investigation into how Russia knows Trump’s phone log-in and Facebook passwords.

But don’t believe the hype: It’s one of the reasons I’ve been avoiding this story, as it’s an obvious red herring to take our attention off the fact that the Trump administration is one big KFC-clogged artery of lies and deception.
