According to TMZ, on Monday night, Williams, who was in Washington, D.C., to take on the Washington Redskins, stopped by the Ledo Restaurant in College Park, Md., with a few folks for a quick bite to eat. According to a bartender who took to Twitter to blast the 33-year-old running back, he left a 75-cent tip.

“Just now at work I had DeAngelo Williams come in and I waited on while tending bar,” the server wrote. “His check was $128.25. He left me $129 with no tip but 75 cents. So there you go Stealers [sic] fans, your running back is cheap as s**t!!! Smh.”

Williams didn’t take too kindly to the jab and took to Twitter to tell his side.

Jimmy Marcos, a co-owner at the restaurant, later told TMZ that the server had been fired for airing the restaurant’s dirty dishes on a public forum. “We were in the wrong” and “the customer is always right,” said Marcos, who added: “I want to offer anything I can do. I’ll be sure to apologize in person next time he visits, and pick up his next meal.”
