MSNBC is reporting that a slow-moving storm that brought bone-chilling cold temperatures and dumped heavy snow that caused dozens of accidents, stranded more than 100 motorists and collapsed the roof of an NFL stadium has made its way out of the Midwest. The storm continued its trek northeast early Tuesday over the Great Lakes and into Canada. More snow was possible for parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York on Tuesday. The cold temperatures stretched into the South, where hard-freeze warnings were in effect overnight in several states. People in the Midwest were advised not to leave home unless absolutely necessary and to limit time spent outside because of temperatures and the lake-effect snow. Chicago is in a deep freeze. Did we mention the roof of the Minnesota Vikings' stadium collapsed over the weekend? The storm might make its way to the Northeast by this weekend. Bundle up. It's going to be a cold winter.
