When Tupac rapped "ain't nuthin' but a gangsta party" on the hook of the song with the same name, there's a good chance he didn't think members of Alpha Delta Fraternity would take it so literally.

But members of the frat at Dartmouth College, who probably listened to too much hip-hop and watched too many classic hood films, thought it would be a good idea and fun times to throw a "Bloods and Crips" party, according to Gawker.

Dartmouth gossip blog Dartblog just published a July 26 invitation sent by Alpha Delta's social chairman, warning students to "choose wisely" when deciding to dress up as a member of either Los Angeles street gang. (Surprisingly, the invitation's author grew up in suburban Massachusetts and plays golf.) Campus sorority Delta Delta Delta pitched in some party supplies, and over 200 students showed up to get schwaysted.

Weeks after the party, the fraternity attempted a truce with those they offended by offering an apology.
